STORIES OF THE CENTURY

The following are subjects that span an extensive time in our lives. For example following a election or impeachment, an ongoing investigation of a major assassination, or continuing the service of bringing you, the people, reports of ongoing stories in pertinent world news such as our current proxy war, "the war on terror" (support the troops not the war!) or information on ongoing weather/astrological conditions.

V838 Monocerotis

V838 Monocerotis (V838 Mon) is a variable star in the constellation Monoceros about 20,000 light years (6 kpc)from the Sun. The star experienced a major outburst in early 2002. Originally believed to be a typical nova eruption, it was then realized to be something completely different. The reason for the outburst is still uncertain, but several theories have been put forward, including an eruption related to stellar death processes and a merger of a binary star or planets.(Ref:Wiki)

"....It is stunning. What we see in our high-resolution sonar images are limitless, rolling, white sand plains and, in the middle of this beautiful white sand, there are clear manmade large-size architectural designs. It looks like when you fly over an urban development in a plane and you see highways, tunnels and buildings,'' Zelitsky said.

....We don't know what it is and we don't have the videotaped evidence of this yet, but we do not believe that nature is capable of producing planned symmetrical architecture, unless it is a miracle,'' she added in an interview at her office at Tarara, along the coast east of Havana(Ref.(5-14 11:59 AM ET)cyberspaceorbit.com)

ADC (Advanced Digital Communications) who interestingly enough is based in Canada and has NO website...Probably funded by America... was doing "treasure hunting" in what they believe to be one of the biggest ship cemeteries in the world (wonder what they were REALLY looking for? A good area to setup new oil pumps maybe?(Ref* next story)at the time of this discovery. They were using sonar for under water imaging and captured images of what seems to be man made structures(*1), though they were hesitant to say so before a joint study. The latest reports found are from 2006(researched on June,26,08).

THE BUSH FACTOR

Following the decisions the "decider" makes and what they will do on down our time line.

"PRESIDENT George W. Bush last night warily welcomed North Korea's declaration of its shadowy nuclear activities and announced steps to ease trade sanctions and remove it from the US terrorism black list, but he warned Pyongyang to fully give up its atomic ambitions and come clean on its role in spreading nuclear know-how overseas."(*1)

A little bit about north Korea.....

North Korea is widely considered to be a Stalinist dictatorship. The country's government styles itself as following the Juche ideology of self reliance, developed by Kim Il-sung, the country's former leader. The current leader is Kim Jong-il, the late president Kim Il-sung's son. Relations are strongest with other officially socialist states, Vietnam, Laos, especially China and Russia, as well as with Cambodia and Myanmar. Following a major famine in the early 1990s, due partly to the collapse of the Soviet Union (previously a major economic partner), leader Kim Jong-il instigated the "Military-First" policy in 1995, increasing economic concentration and support for the military.

As a result of the North Korean nuclear weapons program, the Six-party talks were established to find a peaceful solution to the growing unrest between the two Korean governments, the Russian Federation, the People's Republic of China, Japan, and the United States.

On July 17, 2007, United Nations inspectors verified the shutdown of five North Korean nuclear facilities, according to the February 2007 agreement.[34]

On October 4, 2007, South Korean President Roh Moo-Hyun and North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il signed an 8-point peace agreement, on issues of permanent peace, high-level talks, economic cooperation, renewal of train, highway and air travel, and a joint Olympic cheering squad.

Multiple international human rights organizations, including Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, accuse North Korea of having one of the worst human rights records of any nation. North Koreans have been referred to as "some of the world's most brutalized people", due to the severe restrictions placed on their political and economic freedoms. North Korean defectors have testified to the existence of prison and detention camps with an estimated 150,000 to 200,000 inmates (about 0.85% of the population), and have reported torture, starvation, rape, murder, medical experimentation, forced labour, and forced abortions.

The system changed slightly at the end of 1990s, when population growth became very low. In many cases, where capital punishment was de facto, it was replaced by less severe punishments. Bribery became prevalent throughout the country. For example, just listening to South Korean radio could result in capital punishment. However, many North Koreans wear clothes of South Korean origin, listen to Southern music, watch South Korean videotapes and even receive Southern broadcasts, although they are still prohibited; in most cases punishment is nothing more than a pecuniary fine, and many such problems are normally solved "unofficially", through bribery.(ref.Wiki)

New place for oil!

Results from a deep-water test well in the Gulf of Mexico suggest a new pool of oil and gas that could boost U.S. reserves by as much as 50 percent.

Chevron Corp. estimated the 300-square-mile region where its test well sits could hold between 3 billion and 15 billion barrels of oil and natural gas liquids. Analysts are calling it the most significant domestic discovery since Alaska's Prudhoe Bay more than a generation ago.(*3)

Gulf of Mexico
Oil and Gas Production Forecast:2004-2013
NOTE:"This report went to press before Hurricane Ivan passed through the Gulf of Mexico,
causing significant damage to several facilities and pipelines. The 2004 production
estimates, therefore, should be reduced by at least 27 million barrels of oil and 110 billion
cubic ft of gas (cumulative shut-in production as of November 1, 2004). For example,
Table 2 shows the forecast total oil production in 2004 is 1,562,000 barrels of oil per day,
which equates to an estimated 570 million barrels of oil produced in 2004. As of
November 1, 2004, however, this estimate should be reduced to 543 million barrels of oil." (Verbatim from the a for linked report)
